Carpal Tunnel.

Have you ever learned of a word, and then you never stop seeing it. EVER. Well that has been my experience for the past few hours. My earliest memory of this specific situation happenening to me was six grade english. When our overworked, underpaid teacher decided it was a good idea to have a bunch of fress-out-of elemtary schoolers learn 20 words every week.

You can imagine how that went.

It started with "Gnarly" containing a bad odor or smell. Wonderful, that has never left my brain since then. I saw it, heard it, read it, and smelt it EVERYWHERE.

Even so today July 31st has been one of those sleepless nights, where TikTok and Youtube have become my one and only sources of entertainment and diversion from my horrible half-awake half-asleep state.

Furthdermore.. For the past six hours I have been awake wondering socials and having a mid-midlife crisis the word that I cannot seem to escape is "Carpal" It started with an innocent episode of my newest obsession Sex and the city - Hence my blog - Skipper or whatever his name is was getting a little tired of his ex..? perhaps? Anyhow he mention he might be getting Carpal Tunnel. Cool. Something I TOTALLY wanted to learn about this guy, although still I will admit I searched up the meaning and did a little deep dive all about hand muscles.

A few minutes later I see it again. A TikTok of a girl on a yacht yelling "Carpal Diem" out into the abyss of the ocean. Great, I thought. What an innocent TikTok that I have nothing to be jealus of, with her perfect blonde beach waves, and her piercing blue eyes, and her stupidly inmens yacht.

Although, yet again, a few minutes later, I see another tiktok. Practically the same, though it was a compilaton of clips which mention the dead poets society. Where and entire section was dedicated to people saying "Carpal Diem"..  I felt like I was in hell.

I mean is there a reason why when we learn the meaning of a new word it starts appearing out of nowhere, or perhaps it was always there but you just didn't see it before?

You let me know.

Thank you for reading, and no you do not have to buy me a coffee. (If you get that reference)
